Public Health Data

Northwest Bergen Regional Health Commission believes that access to accurate and timely public health data is essential for informed decision-making and a healthier community. We are committed to transparency and the continuous improvement of public health through data-driven approaches, empowering residents to stay informed and engaged in safeguarding their health.

NJ Center for Health Statistics and Informatics

The Center for Health Statistics & Informatics (CHS) is a program in the Office of Population Health. CHS is responsible for compiling and releasing statistical information on the health of New Jersey residents.

City Health Dashboard

Regularly updated data (over 40 measures) specific to neighborhood and/or city boundaries – such as life expectancy, park access, and children in poverty – to improve the health and well-being of everyone in the community. 

NJ Vector-borne Surveillance Reports

This dashboard uses interactive data visualizations to display vector-borne disease case data (counts and incidence rates), emergency department visits for tick-related illness, and vector-borne pathogen (germ) data in mosquitoes and ticks.

NJ Behavioral Risk Factor Survey Data

An ongoing health survey of New Jersey residents aged 18+ regarding their health-related risk behaviors, chronic health conditions, and use of preventive services.

 New Jersey Department of Health’s State Health Assessment Data (NJSHAD)

Provides access to public health datasets, statistics, and information on the health status of New Jerseyans.

NJ Birth Data

Live births to New Jersey resident mothers regardless of where the birth occurred.

NJ Marriage, Civil Union, and Domestic Partnership Counts by County

Monthly marriage counts and annual civil union and domestic partnership counts by county of occurrence from 2000 to the present.

NJ Provisional Death Data

New Jersey’s Provisional Death Data is a temporary, surveillance-focused collection of death counts that are subject to change. The data is provided by the New Jersey Department of Health’s Center for Health Statistics (CHS).

NJ Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System Data Dashboard

This data exploration tool displays interactive charts and maps of drug overdose deaths by New Jersey residents.

WastewaterSCAN Dashboard

WastewaterSCAN is a national program that monitors diseases through municipal wastewater systems to inform local and national public health responses.
