Dear Residents,

We’re excited to share a series of upcoming events hosted by the Northwest Bergen Regional Health Commission. Our commitment to promoting health and wellness in the community continues with a variety of engaging programs designed for residents of all ages.

Saturday, January 3, 2026 – Babysitting Basics
This program will be held at the Westwood Library, located at 49 Park Avenue, Westwood, NJ 07675, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Join our Health Educator, Alexandra, for a 90-minute presentation focused on how to land a babysitting job, set boundaries with families, practice food safety, and more. This program is open to students in grades 7–9 only. Registration is available at: https://bccls.libcal.com/event/15736966.

Wednesday, January 21, 2026 – Cultivating Calm: Creativity & Mindfulness
This event will take place at the Hillsdale Free Public Library, 509 Hillsdale Avenue, Hillsdale, NJ 07642, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Participants will explore the importance of mindful living and learn how creative practices such as art, music, and writing can support mental well-being. Thursday, January 22, 2026 – Coffee, Cookies, and Conversation
Join us at the Hillsdale Free Public Library, 509 Hillsdale Avenue, Hillsdale, NJ 07642, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM for an informal gathering focused on conversation and connection. Registration is available at: https://bccls.libcal.com/event/15674766.

Monday, January 26, 2026 – Food Handler Course
This course will be held at the Westwood Public Library, 49 Park Avenue, Westwood, NJ 07675, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the inside conference room. The course will be presented in English. The cost is $20 per person, and pre-registration is required. To register, please call (201) 445-7217. Checks should be made payable to NWBRHC and mailed or delivered to 20 West Prospect Street, Waldwick, NJ 07463. Please note that refunds will not be issued unless the class is cancelled due to low enrollment.
