NJ Shares
Through advocacy, community outreach, and comprehensive education, New Jersey SHARES, Inc. is recognized as a nonprofit organization that helps low- and moderate-income households. This organization caters to households facing any financial crisis that impacts their ability to pay for essential services (i.e., utility bills and housing resources). Eligible households may receive up to $700 to be applied to their utility bills.

Project BEST (Better Eye-Health Services and Treatment)
Regular eye exams play an important role in detecting eye diseases early on to preserve your eyesight and overall eye health. The New Jersey Department of Human Services, Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, aims to detect, assess, and treat vision-threatening eye-health conditions. CBVI offers free vision screenings to underserved populations (older aged individuals, minorities, migrant workers, low-income individuals with diabetes, and differently-abled persons) that are experiencing problems with vision loss and impairments.

- Description of applicant’s vision problems
