Our Mission
Our Mission is to provide professional and efficient public health and environmental services to the residents of the communities we serve.
Through the delivery of state-mandated “Public Health Practice Standards of Performance for Local Boards of Health in New Jersey” and the policies of the local Board of Health, we protect and promote the public’s health by using health promotion and education, disease prevention, environmental enforcement, and inspection activities.
NWBRHC Commissioners
Northwest Bergen Regional Health Commission was organized in 1957. The Commission serves as the Health Department for two Commission towns, Midland Park and Waldwick.
The Commission also contracts Public Health Services with Allendale (Vital Statistics only), Emerson, Franklin Lakes, Hillsdale, Ho-Ho-Kus, Mahwah, Montvale, River Vale, Saddle River, Township of Washington, and Westwood.
